In this
report, Prof. Reid will talk about Rb stabilization
techniques used for optical frequency combs, frequency metrology using an OPO
comb, and precision spectroscopy using dual-combs generated from an
asynchronously pumped OPO.

Derryck
T. Reid is a Professor of Physics at Heriot-Watt University. He received a
M.A. from the University of Cambridge in 1991 and a Ph.D. from the University
of St Andrews in 1994. His research covers diverse aspects of ultrafast
lasers and optical parametric oscillators, together with their applications
infrequency combs, gas-sensing, waveguide inscription and nonlinear
microscopy.
