Cryogenic Design Aspects of Physics Experiments at the University of Western Australia

摘要

I will give an over view of some of the cryogenic experiments undertaken at UWA over the past years and discuss some of the design aspects.

Experiments range from resonant bar gravitational wave detectors to high stability cryogenic oscillators, and applications to test fundamental physics.

报告人简介

Michael Tobar 教授在澳大利亚的Monash大学取得理学学士和荣誉工学学位，然后于1994年在西澳大利亚大学取得物理学的博士学位。目前他是西澳大利亚大学物理学院的Winthrop讲座教授以及澳大利亚研究理事会Laureate Fellow，以及澳大利亚科学院和工程院两院院士。
