报告题目：Testing gravitational theories with high-precision pulsar timing
报告摘要：Pulsars are excellent test grounds for fundamental physics. As precise cosmic clocks, they have been used in many experiments, especially in testing gravitational theories. We report 20-year timing of one of the most precise pulsar---J1713+0747, conducted using the GBT and Arecibo telescopes. The result can be used to constrain alternative gravitational theories and test the constancy of gravitational constant.
朱炜玮简介：
主要研究方向为脉冲星的X射线和射电两个波段的观测。
1999年至2003年北京大学天文系本科。
2003年至2006年北京大学硕士，导师徐仁新老师。
2006年至2011年加拿大麦吉尔大学（Mcgill University）博士，跟随导师Victoria Kaspi，通过Chandra和XMM－Newton等卫星X射线观测研究磁星和高磁场脉冲星。发表文章涉及磁星的爆发和衰减、脉冲星的冷却等问题。
2011年07月至今，加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学（UBC）博士后。导师Ingrid stairs教授，研究方向转向射电脉冲星观测。我正在参与基于Aricibo望远镜的脉冲星巡天项目组PALFA和NANOGrav（北美脉冲星纳赫兹引力波天文台）研究组，从事脉冲星搜索和高精度时变观测。
